Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 14, 2026

1. Who we are

remap.video is operated by Squared Lemon, trading as sticky.software, registered in the Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to run the service:

  • Account data — name and email address, provided at registration
  • Uploaded media — video and image files you upload for rendering
  • Payment data — handled entirely by Mollie; we store a transaction reference and credit balance, never your card or bank details
  • Usage data — render counts, file sizes, processing times, and similar aggregate metrics used to operate and improve the platform

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and maintain the service (rendering, storage, delivery)
  • Process payments and manage your credit balance
  • Send essential service communications (account, billing, security)
  • Monitor platform health and improve performance

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your uploaded media for any purpose beyond delivering the service.

4. Cookies and analytics

remap.video does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. We do not track you across other websites.

We use Fathom Analytics for anonymous, aggregate website statistics. Fathom does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and is fully GDPR-compliant. No cookie banner is required.

The only cookies on this site are strictly functional session cookies required for authentication. These are not used for tracking.

5. Third-party services

We use the following services to deliver remap.video:

  • Mollie — payment processing. Mollie processes your payment data under their own privacy policy. We receive only a transaction reference.
  • Fathom Analytics — anonymous website analytics. No personal data is collected or shared.
  • Cloud object storage — uploaded source files and rendered outputs are stored on EU-based object storage infrastructure. Files are uploaded directly from your browser to the storage provider using time-limited, signed URLs.
  • Cloud compute — video rendering is performed on EU-based cloud workers. Workers access your uploaded files only for the duration of the render and do not retain copies after the job completes.
  • HappyMaps — the design tool that may transfer screen layout configurations to remap.video via handoff links. Only configuration data (canvas dimensions, source positions) is transferred, not personal data.
  • Mood.cards — a feedback tool. If used, it operates under its own privacy policy.

Each service operates under its own privacy policy and data processing terms. We select services that align with EU data protection standards.

6. Where your data is stored

Your uploaded files are stored on infrastructure in the European Union. Video rendering is performed on EU-based cloud workers.

Limited orchestration metadata (such as job scheduling signals) may transit through non-EU infrastructure operated by our cloud providers. These transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards under GDPR Article 46.

7. How long we keep your data

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.

Source uploads are removed approximately 7 days after a render completes. Rendered outputs are kept for 30 days from the render date. Job records (without their files) are kept indefinitely so credit history and audit trails remain intact.

Payment records are retained as required by Dutch tax and accounting law.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
